What does a branch line mean in palmistry?

Short answer

A branch line is a smaller line growing from a major palm line. Upward branches often suggest rising effort or openings, while downward branches may suggest drained energy or pressure, depending on the main line.

What this means

First identify the main line the branch grows from: life, heart, head, fate and minor lines each change the meaning.

Then check direction. A rising branch and a falling branch are not read the same way.

Do not confuse a side branch with a fork, trident or tassel at the end of a line. Shape and location come first.
